The Comic Book Project #8
As we approach the end of the Comic Book Project, I had to write a TED Talk inspired speech for my class when I present my work. I will be posting photos of the finished comic ASAP, so don't worry. As for my speech...

Melanie Martinez
Hi! I needed to speak to someone about an issue that has come up that is rather serious. Melanie Martinez, the Crybaby Queen herself, has been accused of assault. And not just any assault. THAT kind of an assault. I don't want to get into details, because my content is supposed to be appropriate. I would just like to say, when I heard the news, I was shocked and appalled. I don't want it to be true, because she has a special place in my heart. I needed to make this post so I could clarify that I am not taking sides in this. I am just hoping this will end in a better way than it looks right now. I made a piece of art that I put on this page of Melanie in Bruce Timm's style. I will not take it down, because it is simply a piece of art, and has nothing to do with the issue. If it turns out the allegations are true, I will most likely hang my head in shame, but 'till then, I'll continue to be a fan. Melanie, I wish you the best of luck in this situation if the accusations are false. But, if they end up being valid, I'm sorry to say I will be EXTREMELY disappointed. Thanks.

The Comic Book Project #7
I have WAAAAAY too much work to do, and not enough time! I've been very deep into researching Bruce Timm that I haven't realized the comic book deadline is in a month and a half! Oh my God! Where do I even start??? My storyline is coming along (but very slowly since I have no good ideas) I've been so occupied working on a plan for a play called Still Life With Iris for my theatre Mid-Term, and now I'm starting to FREAK OUT! Anyways, I know I should get to working again, because I don't have forever... The picture above is some very SKETCHY sketches from Bruce Timm art. I feel like I'm getting better at it now :D
'Till Later,

The Comic Book Project #6
WHY HELLO THERE PROCRASTINATION.
It's nice to write a post again...
Well sort of.
I've been soooo busy with other work lately, and since I started my comic over...
I'm guessing you know what I'm trying to say.
I'm REALLY behind schedule!
I've been working on the story (again; I've scrapped like 5 million ideas) AND it's safe to say I MAY be going somewhere... It's actually really hard to write a comic book! Even if you're using characters that already exist :/... Honestly, I'm really hoping to get some work done over Thanksgiving so I can feel better about this. Ive made my mind up, and I'm going to be doing a Christmas-themed story with Joker and Harley Quinn! I think it will be cool. Maybe. I'm gonna go work on it, so I'm sorry for the short post! I'll write another soon!

DC's Legion of Collectors November 2017
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Oh my stars guys, another box came!!! This box was themed around the NEW Justice League Movie and is now my *second* favorite box out of the three! (The first will always be the Animated Series) ANYWAYS, this box comes with...
~A really cool Batman (with super goggles?) pin
~An EXTREMELY useful Flash sticky note pad (POP! Style) [which I use the heck out of, don't judge me]
~A Suuuuper cool Wonder Woman cup with a lid & a straw (Also POP! Style)
~An amazing Justice League T-Shirt made by a wonderful (yet unknown by me for now) comic artist
(I've worn this shirt 3 or 4 times already in the past 2 weeks *cri... why must I be so obsessed π₯*)
~AND FINALLY...
TWO, that's right TWO, Limited Edition POP! Figures of Steppenwolf (who I assume is the main baddie) and Aquaman (Without a shirt on; ooh la la!)
The Steppenwolf POP! Is really cool, but I haven't opened him to check for scrapes or mistakes yet, so yeah... BUT! He's got a GREAT sculpt which I haven't seen before, and a really well done paint job (from what I can tell)
The Aquaman POP! Is pretty neat... I mean, they actually found a way to make an adorable brand of toys hot... Although, I've taken him out of the box already because I was curious to how they made it look like there was a Tsunami wave behind him, and I found quite a few spots of powdery grey stuff in his hair. (Which is 100% okay, i just had to find something to scrape it off with!) There were also a few spots where the paint bled from the hair to the skin, but I understand these had to be made quickly. (And once again, it's TOTALLY okay, because he's still awesome!)
Anyhoo... I'm gonna post another thingy real soon about some comic story ideas I have, because I gotta start working on this project or it's never gonna get done...
BYE FOR NOW!

When Will I Stop Procrastinating???
Hey guys! It's been a little while... and frankly, I haven't done ANYTHING for my project since my last post. I'm still really trying to find how I can make my art look more like Bruce Timm's for the comic. And it's taking FOREVER! Ugh! I've got to get onto the first page (since I scrapped the original due to the bad art and weird words) but I don't seem to have the best ideas. I'm going to go home and work on my room, since I just recently re-did it. I've got a big blank wall that I'm probably gonna fill with art and posters, but it's also somewhere I could paint a mural... I just wouldn't know what to paint... hmph. I'll make sure to keep y'all posted on that, and maybe I'll take a picture of it and put it on my next post? ALSO, has anyone seen Stranger Things Season 2 yet?! I'm on episode 4, and ITS SO FREAKING AMAZING! It makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn't even alive in! Sigh...
See ya!

The Comic Book Project #5
Guys, I have a confession to make. I really do not like the comic page I made in the last post. I adjusted some things several times to see if I could learn to like it, but as it turns out, the thing I don't like is the art itself. It didn't seem very comic book-y. SO, over the weekend, I've started studying Bruce Timm and his art style. I pretty much idolize him and his work, so I wanted to incorporate some of his work into my style. It's safe to say, I'm not Bruce Timm. BUT, I am pretty happy with how the pictures turned out. AND, I think I'm going to draw my comic in this style :3 (And just so you know, if you have a problem with the way my art looks, look up some of his art. You'll see I'm just taking from how he draws. I don't normally draw girls this out of proportion)
I drew and inked them on marker paper, and then I scanned them into my sketchbook app. From there, I colored them (except for Catwoman, I haven't gotten around to it yet) Basically, I drew Harley, Ivy, and Catwoman, and also a few more not pictured. After I got a hang of the style, I was challenged by my friend to draw Melanie Martinez, and so I did :) I'm not EXTREMELY happy with how she looks, but I'm content. I also did a mini session of drawing cartoon hands at my school because I figured I needed the practice. Hands are more difficult than you think! Anyways, thx for checking out my blog! See ya!

HEY GUYS! I've missed writing on here! (It's only been a week, but ya know...)
I've done soooooo much since then! I've finalized my storyline, and started a sketch of the comic. I started digitally inking and coloring the first page as an example, and then I'll start the real work! I can't wait! I've also put a little twist on it. Harleen Quinzel is going to have brown hair and hazel-ish eyes until she becomes Harley Quinn, where she'll fall into a vat of acid and permanently bleach her hair, skin, and eyes. (Wow, um, that sounds a little dark, but I honestly don't care at this point...) Are y'all excited for the long weekend? Comment down below if you are! 'Till next time!

Quick Update
Hi there guys! I've had some friends read my blog, and they've asked me (in person) why I have chosen to use an alias such as "Harley". This is mainly for internet safety. It's not like that's my actual name, but it works for the theme of my blog in general. Thanks guys! π

The Comic Book Project #2
Holy waste of energy Batman! I've spent WAY too much time coming up with a script/story idea for my Batman: Gotham's Finest Comic Book Debut! And get this! This isn't even a Batman story anymore! That's right! I turned it into a Harley Quinn origin story with my own VERY unique twist on things. But for the whole story, you'll have to wait π... I am so excited to move on to character design! (Which is my next step) ALSO, (just a random question) PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU HAVE SEEN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SHOWS:
-Gotham
-Stranger Things
-The Flash
-Supergirl
-DC's Legends of Tomorrow
-The Arrow
The reason I want to know is because I REALLY enjoy these shows, and it seems like none of my friends know what I'm talking about. I just recently started Season 2 of Gotham, and I must say, I LOVE how dark this show is! It's amazing, and I'm especially proud of what they did with Oswald (The Penguin) He seriously might be my favorite person in the entire DC TV Universe! [Although, Fish Mooney is right up there! You go girl!] My only complaint is that it sounds like they won't be adding Harley to the show π... So guys, make sure to stay tuned for more, because I PROMISE it'll get interesting!

The Comic Book Project #1 (The 20% Project)
Hey Guys π! I'm starting up a pretty big project, and I thought I'd blog about as I go :D! I'm creating a comic book series called Batman: Gotham's Finest, and I'm going to be blogging about my experience as I create the first one. No promises, but I might decide to continue blogging about this after I'm done with the first issue.
I know a lot about comic books, including some famous comic artists, some early character development, and some secret origin stories. I'm going to be transferring some of that knowledge over to my art as I do this. I might come across a few bumps along the road, like catching artist or writer's block, but I hope that this will end up being a success! I'm going to be using some skills I already have, but I'm also fully prepared to learn some new things along the way! (Like how to stick with ONE idea, lol) I've got a TON of different things to do for this project! I'm so EXCITED!
SO, I would expect weekly posts from this page for awhile π!
πCan't wait π!

Favorite Shelf
BIG news guys! I'm changing my room soon! I'm painting a Batman mural on my wall, and replacing all my white furniture with black! The rest of my room will be painted white. I'm SUPER excited! Anyways, here's a picture for your enjoyment :3 It is my current layout of just one of my shelves. I've got some other stuff not pictured here as well, but this is my favorite shelf right now! It's got just a few of my favorite POP! figures, including one of my first! (It's either the S.S. Joker, Arkham Knight Harley, or Kylo-Ren [who is not pictured here]) In the front, (for those who don't know what it is) is my custom-built Batcave. It's made purely from old legos my mom had in a bin. I think they were supposed to be used for a Robin Hood Treehouse Set, but I made this beautiful monstrosity instead :D! I've got a couple batsuits in the back you can't see because of the characters, and then in front of them are Bruce, Dick, Alfred, and Barbara (in her lil wheelchair) It's kinda stupid when I look at it now, but I can't bring myself to take it apart, because I made it when I was sick, and I'm too attached :P! I think my favorite thing on this shelf is my Harley Quinn POP! or my Poison Ivy POP! from The Animated Series. What's your favorite one? Till my next post, au revoir!

I was kinda disappointed there wasn't a lot of Harley stuff, but I understand there are more popular characters :D I'm just weird lol...
Anyways, I'm planning on reviewing more of these boxes in the future if y'all want.
